Diamond
Recording Studio is planning to hold our annual
Open House and Listening Party on Thursday June 28th.
Everyone is welcome to attend and tour the facility. Our
officemates, Diamond Amplification,
will have their line of Amps and Cabinets available for
guitarists to demo. Currently Diamond Amps is endorsing
Saliva guitarists, Wayne and Jonathan; Alice Cooper guitarist
Kerri Kelli; former Killer Dwarfs and Vince Neil guitarist
Jason Hooks and local shredders like Marzi and Rusty Cooley
among others.

We
will also have a drum kit set-up for drummers to record
samples for testing tones in our live room. We want drummers
to get a feel for recording here at Diamond and to hear
what great tones can be achieved and potentially be the
foundation for a great recording.
We
are very proud to announce the completion of the new Mercury
Down CD. The CD will be played throughout the
evening for guest to hear. The guys are currently getting
their press material together to send to Blotz out in
Los Angeles to shop around to labels and management there.
We hope for great things to happen for these guys soon.

Diamond
Studio has been working with Perris
Network in creating a new ROCK video program
called ROCKNATION TV.
A preview of the upcoming ROCKNATION
TV video show will be shown throughout the
evening during our Open House. ROCKNATION
TV is scheduled to air weekly on Warner Cable
and ComCast beginning this July. Executive Producer Tom
Mathers will be on hand to answer questions about ROCKNATION
TV and Newspaper. A web-cast version of the

month and are ready to embark on their summer tour, which

Houston band, Wolfe Blitzer
has just completed an incredible 10 song CD with us at
Diamond. Keep a look out for an upcoming CD release show.
We'll also play tracks from this new Wolfe Blitzer CD
at our Open House.
We
here at Diamond Studio are eager to welcome back Outworld
with new front man Carlos Zema. The band is schedule
to start tracking this September. From the pre-production
samples we've heard with Carlos, this is obviously going
to be another incredible Ourworld release. The band's
debut CD was recorded in 2005 at Diamond Studio owner
Gregg Gill's Spyder Studio and released on Replica Records
in 2006.
We
hope everyone can attend the open house on June 28th to

and POISON will join forces for a summer trek
starting June 13 at the Bi Lo Center in Greenville,
S.C., and wrapping Aug. 19 at the Coors Amphitheatre
in Denver.
The
tour, which brings RATT and POISON onstage together
for the first time since 1999, will visit amphitheaters,
festivals and fairs in such cities as Boston,
Detroit, New York, New Jersey and Los Angeles

records "Exciter" at Diamond for an
upcoming Judas Priest Tribute CD. Accompanied

The
2007 Robb's Metal Works show intro and credits have
been created. RMW is the longest standing metal
show in San Antonio and is now aired by Warner Cable
on Stuff TV.
Straight
Fork has finished recording and released their
EP entitled "Living"
Band photos and the CD artwork were also produced
by the Diamond Production staff.
"Thick
guitar tones, unbelievable playing and aggressive
metal/prog/melodic tunes. That's the best way
for me to describe Outworld's latest release.
Being a huge fan of Rusty, this is definitely
his best to date. The guitar playing is intricate,
creative and beyond comprehension at times while
at the same time incorporating unique and interesting
phrasing. In fact, all of the players really
shine on this CD. The thing that stands out
the most however, is the maturity of the song
structures. Really cool riffs, melodic hooks
and a great mix have made this one of my favorite
releases this year."

Bobby
Blotzer, drummer of the multi-platinum hard rock band
RATT and new Houstonian, has joined forces with engineer/
producer/guitarist Gregg Gill of Spyder Studio (Midnight
Circus, Z-LOT-Z) to form Diamond Recording and Productions.
The new studio features, Studio A - Digidesign Control
24 and Pro Tools HD 3. Studio B - Trident mixing console
with Sony Vegas. A 20 x 20 live room, a kitchen/lounge,
satellite TV, hi-speed internet Sony Playstation 2 and
other amenities. Allison Gill along with a new team of
production assistants will be providing video, photography,
graphic and web design services, Rick Ward (Midnight Circus,
Azrael's Bane) will continue to drum tech as he did for
Spyder Studio and Mike Holt (Chrome 44) will be joining
the team as assistant engineer.
The first band to break in the new studio is Blotzer's
"Saints Of The Underground". The Los Angeles
based group is comprised of musicians that when not touring
or recording with their respective bands put together
a " Jam Band " which has turned into an entity
that is now recording a full length CD of all original
material. The band features, of course, Bobby Blotzer
on drums, former Warrant singer, Jani Lane, guitarist
Keri Kelli (currently with Alice Cooper, Skid Row), and
bassist Robbie Crane (Vince Neil,RATT). The studio is
attracting a lot of interest from Texas artists as well
as Blotzer's fellow L.A. musicians.
